Hey look - I have bed head just like my Daddy!

My First Swing Ride Was SO FUN

Eating My Dehydrated Apple

I love gumming this thing and its so easy to store in my mouth when I need both my hands.
(Translation: Ezekiel crawls around with this nasty looking apple hanging half out of his mouth.)

First Camping Trip - White Sands New Mexico

We hiked to the back-country camping sites in White Sands. It was a beautiful winter wonderland of, well, white sand. A storm came in that night and we slept to torrential downpours, lightening, wind, and general awe-full weather. Ezekiel snuggled in between us did pretty good. As you can see, Patrick was pretty loaded down since all I could carry was Ezekiel and a few incidentals.

White Sands

Why did the RAT-LER cross the road?

We have no idea but Patrick got out of the car to get a closer look ...

... and Kathryn about woke the dead screaming at him to come back.

Carlsbad Caverns and Brantley Lake

You can see two of my teeth pretty good. 'Eating' apples is my favorite.
Tons of cactus outside the cave where thousands of bats swarm out for their nightly bug feeding. We got to watch this amazing spectacle but no photos were allowed since the bats can pick up on some electronic sound from phones nad cameras that keeps them from taking flight.
Sunset on the ridge outside the caverns.

Belated Balloon Fiesta

Hundreds of balloons took flight for 10 days. Everywhere you looked, balloons were overhead. This pic is taken near the balloon launch park where hundreds of balloons flew immediately overhead.
Ezekiel actually took notice of the balloons and looked curiously at them We think the balloon nightie he slept in the night before helped.
We took in a lot of the events from the car where Ezekiel pretended to drive. Apparently he thinks driving involves sipping from Mom's Americano.
The last balloon excursion was to the launch park itself. The morning was chilly so we thought we'd make sure Ezekiel was warm.
